Job Summary

The Registered Nurse Vaccinator is responsible for safely administering vaccines, assessing patient eligibility, educating patients on immunizations, monitoring for adverse reactions, and maintaining accurate vaccination records while ensuring compliance with clinical and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients before vaccination and identify any contraindications.
• Administer vaccines according to approved protocols and guidelines.
• Educate patients on vaccine benefits, possible side effects, and aftercare.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate care if needed.
• Maintain accurate vaccination records and documentation.
• Ensure proper vaccine storage, handling, and cold chain management.
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Immunization/vaccination training is preferred.
